It’s July! My birthday is this month and I’m finally heading back to Los Angeles after a long 3 year hiatus - I can’t wait! More to come on that trip soon, but until then I hope everyone is staying cool in this crazy new york city weather.
Google Maps guide to July’s Agenda is here!
Food & Drinks
Lower East Side
Comal - A new Mexican spot featuring small plates in the old Gem Wine space. The Chef grew up in Mexico and drew inspiration from his time in Mexico City and London, bringing a unique and fresh menu to the new york food scene.
East Village
Ops - You no longer have to head to Bushwick for a fan-favorite pizza spot, Ops. They recently opened on 2nd Ave serving St. Louis style pizza with a short but sweet menu. The pizza looks phenomenal.
Chelsea
Haymarket - A European and Caribbean spot from a Saga and Crown Shy alum. Per a recent Eater article, they are trying to make Peri Peri Chicken better than Nando’s!
Hudson Yards
Sailor’s Choice - If you are willing to venture to Hudson Yards, Sailor’s Choice is a new seafood shack from the team behind Grand Banks, Pilot, and Drift In. Their drink menu consists of rum cocktails, a mariner (including matcha), and refreshing mocktails for $13. I need the blue cocktail stat.
Williamsburg
Rose Marie - A cocktail bar and the little sister to East Village’s Yellow Rose is now open every day from 5pm-midnight with walk-ins only as of right now. I love watching Mike Chau’s videos on new spots especially when menu’s aren’t available online yet - but all the food looks delicious.
Loaf on Paper - A new Japanese café and market by nico neko zakkaya. I am super excited to try their matcha and peruse their insanely cute stationary.
Fort Greene
Saint Street Cakes - A brand new craft bakery specializing in custom cakes, and other baked goods. They are all SO cute and would be great for your next birthday or event.. they have a matcha flavor so you know I will be trying that.
DUMBO
Aloha Alley - I absolutely love Hawaii and am so happy to report that there is a new Hawaiian spot in DUMBO, just a quick three minute walk from the waterfront. Their menu consists of Hawaiian favorites like Loco Moco, Butter Garlic Shrimp, POG Juice, and Shave ice(!!!!) coming soon! I can’t wait to try this spot.
Brooklyn Heights
Fini Patio Bar - A beloved new york pizza chain has made its way to Brooklyn Bridge Park. I’m excited for this new addition to the neighborhood and to be able to order this delicious pizza to my apartment now that it’s within delivery range :)
Shopping
Asta Resort - The true magic of New York lies in stumbling into random stores you’ve never heard of and falling in love with a new brand. The color palette of their clothing instantly sparks joy and makes you want to book a European coastal vacation immediately.
Happenings & More
Kellogg’s Diner x Cait’s Key Lime (July 1st -31st) - Kellogg’s is featuring an exclusive Creamsicle Pie made by Cait’s Key Lime for the month of July! Per Cait, the creamsicle pie is a layered dream of salty graham crust, zingy orange custard, fresh whipped cream with a hint of vanilla, and a sprinkle of orange zest. The whipped cream looks insane!!!
Wimbledon Fan? The Hill New York will be broadcasting the women’s and men’s finals on July 12th and 13th in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Free Outdoor Movie Nights are back in Bryant Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park!

Brooklyn Bridge Park x Pluto TV Movies with a View are showing free movies every Thursday in July and August at Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn. If I were you, I’d pick up a Fini Pizza and bring it to the lawn to enjoy before the movie.. :) The Line-Up is below.
